Whistle for Calm Anxiety Workshop
Have you ever struggled with anxiety? Most of us have at some stage - and for many people anxiety has become a way of life. If you would like to deepen your understanding of anxiety alongside doing something creative, this is the workshop for you!
In the middle of an anxiety attack we are often breathing rapidly and shallowly. We think we need more air but actually, what we need is a long, slow breath out! As soon as this happens, our natural instinct is to breathe in deeply again. During this workshop you will learn how to turn a lump of clay into a functional musical instrument - a whistle with a beautiful tone that you can hang around your neck or keep in your purse or pocket. As you are creating you will learn about anxiety and discover new skills to help interrupt the adrenal response. At the end of the workshop, you are able to leave with a tangible reminder of your learning - a talisman that will help anchor you to your learning and skills in times of stress.

Create your own Mindfulness Moment
Mindfulness has become a trendy world in our modern society, but not many people actually know what it is or how to practice it. In this workshop you will learn the basic principles of mindfulness alongside the process of hand-building yourself a cup or mug you will be able to use for your daily mindfulness practice.
Working with clay is an incredibly mindful process. It's so tactile and engaging that it automatically gives your brain a break from thinking about EVERYTHING and helps you to focus on just one thing for a while - bliss!
